How are you coping with COVID19 restrictions lifting?
Monash University head of psychiatry and One in Five spokesman Professor Suresh Sundram says that a sense of trepidation will be felt by most, even if mixed with excitement. While some people are worrying about which restaurant to visit, for others there is grave economic hardship, loss of work, grief and people are affected differently across the age spectrum.
“Most people will utilise their own personal social networks to alleviate anxieties,” says Prof Sundram. “Talking through [any challenges] in a public way with friends and social networks will normalise it and then it usually dissipates.”
